Course objective:
* Upon successful completion of this course, Participants will be able

connectors
* Terminate and polish connectors/ Evaluate loss with power meter and
light source
* Industry standards and codes / Understand proper test procedure
* Evaluate your fiber optic network / Evaluate cable types for fusion
splicing
* Prepare fiber ends for testing &splicing
* Interpret OTDR traces and identify cable problem areas.
* Design Optical networks for given customer needs, that incorporate
old networks and next generation networks (PON, FTTX, internet etc).
* Plan & Design a long haul fiber optic route.
* Calculate losses in optical fiber networks and how to counter them.
* Negotiate a Contract, make Quotations and handle Tenders.
* Maintenance of an optical network (Trouble shooting and service
